The travel and tourism industry as a whole is reeling in the face of the pandemic. South Africa has now placed on hold all international and local travel in the weeks ahead as we tackle the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as a country. We know such uncertain times can cause stress and anxiety. We are hopeful as a country, it is important we corporates and work together to fight covid-19.
What is Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus. The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with unwell people.
How does it spread?
Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.
Is traveling permitted?
It saddens us to say this but all traveling is not permitted. South Africa has closed its borders and stopped all flights traveling locally and internationally. We all must work together, support each other by postponing our trips or booking a refundable trip for later in the year. We need to also play our part in adhering to the health regulations when we can travel in the future.
If I decide to travel in 2020, when can I make my booking?
If you decide to travel in 2020 you can make future booking now on email@example.com. We will keep you updated on your dates and the current affairs. We do encourage that travellers to postpone and not cancel their trips. Trustjoy Tourism is here for you in this difficult period and trust that this too shall pass. Stay home, stay safe and keep in touch.
